HNR Online Seminar Series: schedule from February to June

The HNR community is pleased to announce the launch of a new HNR Online Seminar Series, beginning on February 9. The series is a relaxed, community-oriented forum that complements HNR conferences by creating space for sustained conversation around ongoing research in historical network analysis.Each seminar features a single extended presentation, followed by ample time for discussion, allowing speakers to develop ideas in more depth and engage openly with a broad audience. The seminars will take place online on the second Monday of each month, with topics spanning methodological, theoretical, and empirical work across periods and disciplines.The preliminary schedule for the Spring 2026 series is as follows:

  • 13 April 2026 — Sergio Lozano Pérez (Department of Economic History, Institutions and Policy and World Economy, Universitat de Barcelona), Robustness Testing (14:00 CET)
  • 11 May 2026 — Minja Bujakovic (Department of History, European University Institute)Tracing the Network Continuity: From the Socialist to the Communist Women’s Movement (1907–1934) (13:00 CET)
  • 15 June 2026 — Malte Vogl (Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology, Jena)Collaboration and Interdisciplinarity in Scientific Institutions (12:00 CET)

With speakers’ consent, sessions will be recorded and made available through the HNR YouTube channel, ensuring wider access for those unable to attend live.We hope you will join us for this new initiative and help shape it as a shared space for exchange within the HNR community. Links to join the sessions will be shared before the events and will be available on the HNR website.
